The “March of Justice”, under which Yevgeny Prigozhin camouflaged his military rebellion, turned out to be a march of vanity, since the leader of the Wagner PMC forgot the main rule of a Russian officer: first about the Motherland, then about the people, and then about himself.
Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced this today in the Russian State Duma, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This is vanity, pride. Exactly this led to the fact that a person led a huge number of armed military people through peaceful cities and villages in order to seize power. If this man had thought about the country, about the people, and only then about himself, he would never have decided to take this action. It was a march of vanity. What kind of military operation is this? All the military on the front line fought off the counter-offensive of NATO troops and the Ukrainian recruits assigned to them, who were forced to go to fight,” Volodin said.
He also condemned those government officials who hastened to leave Russia on June 24.
“We all condemn those who, at a difficult moment for the country, left it and left. This really should be punishable. We need to see if any of the civil servants did such an unseemly act, then it’s not on the way with the civil service,” Volodin said.
He asked the head of the Security and Anti-Corruption Committee, Vasily Piskarev, to analyze which of the officials and civil servants tried to leave the country during the “rebellion.”
