The Maritime Interaction 2015 exercises will take place there for ten days. It is planned that the military of the two countries will improve their skills in joint problem solving. In total, ten ships of various classes are participating in the maneuvers. The sailors will have to repel attacks from the imaginary enemy from the air, sea and from under water.
Another goal of the maneuvers is to ensure the safety of navigation. At the same time, as Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov emphasized, the exercises are not directed against a third party and are not related to the political situation in the region.
