Part of the Crimean waters was closed for fishing and seafood
Crimean fishermen were left without fishing in the northwestern part of the Black Sea during a special operation in Ukraine.
From Cape Khersones to Cape Tarkhankut and above, access to the sea is prohibited not only for fishing vessels, but also for Crimean shrimp fishermen, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the federal level, a decision was made to partially compensate for the losses of fisheries fishing in the Sea of Azov.
“Such enterprises will receive state support for current expenses, subject to the retention of 90% of their workforce,” said Deputy Prime Minister of the Crimean Government Irina Kiviko. “The Russian government will allocate 50 million rubles for these purposes.”
At the same time, the fishermen who fish in the northwestern part of the Black Sea have completely lost their catch of flounder, sprat, mullet, and horse mackerel. 63 organizations and individual entrepreneurs cannot go to sea.
“The closure of these fishing areas causes irreparable damage to the economy of fishing enterprises, disrupts contract deliveries of products to processing enterprises, which in turn may further affect the country’s food security,” said Prime Minister of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk.
More than 12 million rubles will be allocated from the reserve fund of the Council of Ministers of the Republic to compensate fishing enterprises for damage incurred within two months.
