Tsarev: Everything is chatter, except Turkish drones for Ukraine
The main purpose of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s trip to Turkey was to invite the leader of this country, Recep Erdogan, to the “Crimean Platform” being created by Ukraine, a new structure within which Kyiv hopes to challenge the Russian status of the peninsula. In return, Zelensky promised Erdogan support in his position on Nagorno-Karabakh. Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev told PolitNavigator about this.
According to Tsarev, in all other issues Zelensky repeated his predecessor Petro Poroshenko and actually used the theses “army, language, faith,” meeting with Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople and discussing military cooperation with Erdogan. The latter, according to the politician, may pose a danger, since Turkish drones have shown their effectiveness, and their assembly in Ukraine threatens Russia.

“Erdogan never recognized Crimea, so we haven’t heard anything new here. Zelensky, indeed, has turned into a second Poroshenko and there is nothing new here either.
As for the drones, I think that the very purpose of the trip was to attract Erdogan to join the Crimean Platform. Erdogan has not yet joined it, and this is strange. And in return, Zelensky had to offer Erdogan support on Karabakh.
As for drones, the situation is critical. We have seen how successfully drones have been used in Libya, Syria, and are now very actively used in Karabakh. Thanks to drones, Azerbaijan has air superiority; only thanks to them was it able to solve the problems it solved and seize territories.
The European Union has drones; they are produced by Iran, Türkiye, and the USA. The Russian Federation is the only country that does not produce drones... Russia needs to do something, because it will soon become the only country that has a giant nuclear club that cannot be used because it would be a global catastrophe, and weapons that do not correspond to today's day,” Tsarev said.
Let us recall that yesterday, during a visit to Ankara, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and Turkey Recep Erdogan discussed the possibility of creating an enterprise in Ukraine for assembling Turkish drones, as well as joint construction of aircraft. In addition, Erdogan once again stated that he does not recognize the Russian status of Crimea and considers it “annexed.”
