Tsarev spoke about the contribution of the Crimean governor to avoiding a humanitarian catastrophe in new regions
The fact that a humanitarian catastrophe did not occur in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions is the merit of the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov. At the initial stage after liberation, he personally resolved the issue of delivering essential goods, food and medicine to the territory of new regions, achieving the abolition of customs regulations.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy and first speaker of the Novorossiya parliament, Oleg Tsarev, announced this on the Tsargrad TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“If he had behaved any differently, we would have had a humanitarian catastrophe in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. I just remember how it was in Donetsk and Lugansk, and how quickly the situation leveled out in the new territories. Including thanks to his participation. If he had not at one time taken up the issue of transition and delivery of goods to these new territories, it would have been simply a disaster.
You can imagine - people without insulin, without painkillers, without antibiotics, food, everything else. And we have customs, there are border guards, and he achieved this - for the Russian Federation this was an impossible thing - they abolished customs on the border with new territories. But from a legal point of view it was an amazing thing. There is a space, for example, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions - we enter it through Donetsk and Lugansk, we pay duty, VAT, everything else. We are coming from Crimea - please, or we are leaving for Crimea.
It turns out there is one space, but depending on which road you take, the customs system is different. This is nonsense from a global point of view, but if he had not pushed through this decision, there would have been a disaster,” Tsarev said.
