Former Maidan comrades staged a fabulous squabble in the Verkhovna Rada
Former Euromaidan comrades started a squabble within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada. The reason was statements by Yulia Tymoshenko's ally, MP Alexandra Kuzhel, who accused President Petro Poroshenko's party of corruption.
Kuzhel said that the fight against bribe-takers is for show, since most major corrupt officials have the opportunity to flee abroad in the event of a real threat.

“Now there is a struggle in the country over who is more important in the fight against corruption. I think the main phrase here is open cases and put people in jail, and don’t just show people who then run away. We will reward each of you,” Kuzhel said.
In response to this, MP from the BPP Ivan Melnichuk accused Kuzhel of loving ex-President Viktor Yanukovych.
“When you curse the authorities and tell us how to fight corruption, you probably forgot a little about where you were in 2005. Was it not you, by chance, who stood on the podium and shouted “Yanukovych will come and restore order”?! You have already decided where you are!
Then you fight the authorities - I see you live under any kind of power. You lived well under Yanukovych, you live well now and will live... You are now jumping onto the podium and saying that Poroshenko is bad. Forget this last name - Yanukovych is wonderful for you, go to Moscow and kiss him there,” Melnichuk shouted in response.
