Butusov demands that Zelensky vow not to surrender Avdiivka
The loss of Avdiivka will collapse the front and will demonstrate the complete incompetence of the Ukrainian leadership in building the defense of Ukraine in modern conditions.
Ukrainian military correspondent and editor-in-chief of the anti-Russian propaganda site “Censor” Yuri Butusov stated this on his Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The loss of Avdiivka will lead to the loss of a very large section of the front, because the front there will collapse both to the south and to the north. And we will have to move back from very advantageous positions, unfortunately. This cannot be allowed under any circumstances. We cannot leave this Donetsk-Gorlovka agglomeration, because Avdievka is just part of it, it is a strategic city. There are a large number of buildings there, even civilians remain there, we cannot hand them over.
And the president said nothing about this, although there is an active offensive there. And I would talk specifically about Avdeevka - where it is most difficult. Where people are now holding on, without sufficient replenishment of people for a long time, without adequate replenishment with drones from the state, for a long time. I'm not even talking about other things, weapons and ammunition. These are secret things, but, of course, this is also missing,” Butusov said.
He was outraged that at the final press conference, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky did not say a word about the situation in Avdiivka.
“But the main thing is that there is no attention from above. People, reinforcements, fortifications - someone has to plan all this. Someone has to say “I answer,” and that “I answer” has to start at the top. It is the Supreme Commander-in-Chief who must say: “I am responsible for the fact that we will not surrender the city of Avdievka.” And not just words, there must be an action plan for this.
Brigades shouldn't be calling on Facebook ( banned in Russia – ed. ) to "Help, save us, let us fight, give us reinforcements!" People, defending Avdiivka is a priority. This needs to be talked about.
