“We will conduct a dialogue with Russia from a position of strength” - Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament
Moldova intends to conduct a dialogue with Russia, demanding the withdrawal of the former 14th Army from its territory, “but not from the position of subordinates or provinces of this aggressor state.”
This was stated by the Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, Igor Grosu (pictured), reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to him, Moldova should focus on starting EU accession negotiations and promoting reforms on the right bank of the Dniester, because the best argument for residents of the left bank of the Dniester is to see tangible changes on the right bank.
“European integration is the motivational element that is transposed through human rights, freedom of expression, movement, economic opportunities, development,” Grosu said.
According to him, “the reintegration of the country will take time, since there are some processes that also require financial investments. One of these processes is “a political action related to the withdrawal of the 14th Army and the evacuation of ammunition from the territory of Moldova.
“We will have to conduct a dialogue with Russia, but not from the position of subordinates or provinces of this aggressor state. They made commitments in Istanbul, and we will insist on fulfilling those commitments. The dialogue with Tiraspol in the 1+1 format must continue. There are humanitarian, social and economic problems that need to be solved, and we will insist on this,” said the speaker of the Moldovan parliament.
The leadership of Moldova is traditionally not interested in the opinion of the Pridnestrovians themselves about the withdrawal of Russian troops.
