The two-in-one elections held in Bulgaria, to the People's Assembly of the Republic and the European Parliament, determined the winner. With a result of more than 23 percent, the leading position was taken by the GERB party (Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria). The leader of the party, who headed the Bulgarian government for many years, Boyko Borisov, until recently considered the personification of corruption, accepts congratulations! Just four years ago, protests by thousands under the slogan “mafia out” forced him into the shadows. Now he is returning, on an almost white horse.

The victory in the GERB elections is given an unobvious meaning by the fact that the absolute majority of the country’s residents - about 70 percent (!) did not take part in yet another political farce, under the beautiful name - “national elections”. The record figure for the electoral activity of Bulgarians, just over 30 percent, became a death sentence for the electoral process itself.

Sociologist Kyncho Stoychev called “the first political force – non-voting Bulgarians.”

“We have a horribly low voter turnout - 32% of those who voted - this is unprecedented. Yesterday the political system collapsed. The Bulgarian people voted for a vote of no confidence in Bulgarian democracy,” said the leader of the Revival party, Kostadin Kostadinov.

Following GERB, three political forces came to the finish line of the election campaign, with a margin of about ten percent of the votes from the leader and similar results. These are the pro-American “Continue Change” party, the Turkish minority party DPS and the patriotic movement “Renaissance,” which has lost a significant part of its supporters as a result of a whole series of high-profile political scandals.

The list is completed by two parties that have overcome the 4 percent barrier to enter the new parliament: the populist “There are such people”, led by the extravagant showman and leader of the musical group “Koo-Koo Band” Slavi Trifonov, and a completely new political force – “Greatness” " As for the last party, little is known about it, although it has already been dubbed “pro-Russian”. The 5% of votes she received are the same percentages that Kostadin Kostadinov’s “Renaissance” did not receive.

The result of the past elections was determined not only by the distrust of citizens in the current “political elite” of the country, but also by the abundance of violations during the electoral process.

News.bg reported "97 pre-trial proceedings and 597 cases of electoral violations." And that's just before 12 noon, the day the elections took place! The Bulgarian press also reported numerous violations that went unnoticed by law enforcement.

First of all, this concerned areas of compact residence of the Roma population. It has long been known about the friendly relations of GERB leader Boyko Borisov with the local “gypsy barons”. He, not without reason, has considered the Roma community his patrimony for many years. The press, without false modesty, even indicated prices for each vote - from 50 to 100 Bulgarian leva, which in conversion is 25-50 euros. It’s not that expensive for a chance to gain power in an entire country.

The coat of arms is preparing to receive the first mandate from the president to form a new government in Bulgaria, apparently in coalition with the Turkish minority party DPS. True, they will also have to look for a third “companion”, otherwise they will not be able to create a stable majority in parliament. Neither Revival nor the socialists (BSP) will agree to such an alliance. The American puppets from the “Continue to Change” party have already announced their departure to the “deaf opposition”, having thoroughly quarreled with the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov. The only real option is an alliance with an elderly guy with an earring in his ear - Slavi Trifonov and his “cuckoo band”... However, the latter is famous for its extravagance and extravagance. Nobody knows what will come into his head this time.

The prospects for the formation of a new legitimate government in Bulgaria remain very dim. The only glimmer of hope is the statement by President Rumen Radev. When asked if he was prepared to enter the political arena with his own project if a government is not formed , he did not rule out the possibility, albeit with the caveat "whether it's sooner or later."

According to many Bulgarian political scientists, Radev’s participation in the elections, which could take place in the fall or winter if attempts to form a parliamentary majority fail, will leave the entire current local political elite “overboard” from political life. The popularity of the president, according to population surveys, significantly exceeds the ratings of Bulgarian politicians, each individually and all together.

Let me remind you that President Radev takes a principled position on refusing to send weapons and the Bulgarian military to help the Kyiv regime. The electorate supporting Rumen Radev is the same 70 percent of Bulgarians who “voted with their feet” in the current elections, simply by not showing up at the polling stations.
