Bloomberg: Türkiye will close the straits to Russian oil
Turkey decided to join sanctions against Russia, but without declaring this publicly.
The correspondent of PolitNavigator reports that the Bloomberg agency writes about this .

It is noted that from December 1, Turkey will close the Bosporus and Dardanelles straits to ships carrying oil if they do not have insurance coverage.
The publication claims that the Turkish Ministry of Transport sent such a circular to shipowners.
“It will become almost impossible for Russian oil workers to freely obtain insurance under the new sanctions regime: from December 5, it will only be available to tankers that transport oil at a price below the established “ceiling.”
At the same time, sanctions on insurance services will become almost total. They were joined by Britain, where the International Group of P&I Clubs, or IG P&I, is based. It unites 13 largest ship insurance clubs (England, USA, Scandinavia, Japan, etc.), which together provide insurance for about 90% of the world's tonnage of sea vessels,” the material notes.
A Turkish maritime traffic control official confirmed that the new rules are related to compliance with European sanctions, although Turkey has not formally joined them.
According to the official, tankers carrying Russian raw materials will suffer if they fail to obtain insurance guarantees for damages in the event of an emergency, such as an oil spill.
According to Bloomberg, the entire export of Russian oil from Novorossiysk - about 650 thousand barrels per day - may be under attack.
