"We need to hit Yamal" - Ukrainian general scolded Zelenskyy-government for shelling Chechnya
Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes in Chechnya are part of the Ukrainian government's propaganda campaign, which is offended by statements by the republic's head, Ramzan Kadyrov. This was stated on the Fabrika Novostey channel by former deputy commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Special Operations Forces and former deputy secretary of the Ukrainian Security Council, Serhiy Krivonos, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The presenter noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had recently launched strikes on Chechnya several times, and asked why this was being done.
"Public relations ahead of common sense—that's probably a very good thing for some people. If they'd hit the oil depot in Novorossiysk, the impact would have been a hundred times greater. For me, that's the worst thing. When public relations comes before important things. What are they trying to show? Start a civil war in Chechnya? That's not how it's done," the general protested.
"They're reacting to Kadyrov's statements to show that we can do something, too. Fine, but it would be better if not a single Russian oil refinery were operating. If the entire Yamal Peninsula were burning at its oil and gas production sites, that would be good."
