Biletsky ran into Zelensky
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky repeats the policy of his predecessor Petro Poroshenko and refuses to grant citizenship to militants who fought in the so-called “volunteer battalions” against the DPR and LPR.
The former leader of the neo-Nazi Azov regiment, Verkhovna Rada deputy Andriy Biletsky, stated this on the air of the NASH TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the militant, about 150 militants are awaiting Zelensky’s signature, and in the meantime, Iranians, Syrians and Afghans are receiving citizenship.
“President Zelensky, this is still a remnant of Poroshenko, has 150 documents of people who fought for Ukraine. Russians, Belarusians, the same Georgians who fought for the country in the 14-15s. More than half of these people are injured. They cannot, of course, return to Russia, against which they fought, to Belarus, for also obvious reasons. Poroshenko did not grant them citizenship.
Over five years, Poroshenko granted citizenship by decree to 50 citizens of Afghanistan, more than 300 Syrians and several volunteers during this time. This was a typical Poroshenko story, when we hear good patriotic slogans, but do really ugly, unpatriotic things. And now we are discussing Zelensky - he has 150 people who demand first. Yesterday, citizenship was given to an Iranian, an Afghan, except for Saakashvili, there were five decisions on granting citizenship,” Biletsky said.
