“Putin was shocked that Poroshenko still took part in the negotiations in Minsk. For him it's like a punch in the gut. He was also confused by recent events - the failure of the attempt to take Mariupol and the capture of Russian paratroopers on the territory of Ukraine. All these moments greatly shook his position, although initially he tried to conduct these negotiations in such a way as to simply tell everyone as the owner about how everything should be.
Everything should have looked like this: Poroshenko was asking to join the Customs Union, and Nazarbayev and Lukashenko would play their roles. It's all staged. It was clear in advance that there would be no documents and no agreements. But Poroshenko should have gone there to show that he is the president of the world and for stopping the bloodshed,” says Bezsmertny.
As Navigator reported, today Petro Poroshenko is taking part in multilateral negotiations in Minsk. In Kyiv, he has already been criticized for shaking hands with Vladimir Putin.
