Bezler denies any conflict with the DPR leadership. “They say that chickens are milked. I’m actually a military man and issues of cooperation with Ukraine lie in the prime minister’s area. Again provocative questions. Issues of cooperation on the level of the Prime Minister. As a field commander, I report to the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense of the DPR,” he emphasized that “issues of interaction with Moscow, Kiev and Brussels” are not in his area. – At the moment, I adhere to the truce that was signed in Minsk. I fulfill all his demands,” he said.
“A rich place in which pensioners can afford not to beg, but to live normally,” he answered when asked what kind of state he would like to build. – And most importantly, in which there is no fascism, which currently exists in Ukraine. Rich, prosperous. They are not forced to jump in squares and shout “Whoever doesn’t gallop is a Muscovite,” where they don’t shout “Muscolyak to gilllyaku.”
He also explained where his call sign “Bes” came from. According to him, that’s what they called him since school. He said that his mother is Ukrainian, born in the Kirovograd province, and his father is a Crimean. He himself was born in Crimea.
“Russian is not a nationality, but a state of mind,” he emphasized.
In response to a request from Ukrainian journalists to read something in Ukrainian, Bezler recited Shevchenko’s poem “To the Poles” in full:
“Sche yak bul mi Cossacks,
And it’s not a little blunder,
Otam was having fun!
We fraternized with free Poles
They were written in free steppes,
In the gardens, they swooped,
Nenache lіlії, dvchata.
She wrote with mother’s blue
Sinami free...
Grew up
Grown blue i amused
Old sorrowful lita ...
Already rest in the name of Christ
Xonji came and burned
Our quiet paradise. I poured
Wide sea of tears and blood,
And the orphans in the name of Christ
They muzzled, they cracked ...
Kozachi’s head drooped,
At night, stoptan grass,
Ukraine is weeping, stogne-weeping!
Behind the head
I’ll complete the pada. Kat lyutuє,
And let's say the xonds
Shout: "Te Deum! Hallelujah!..”
Otak something, leash, friend, brother!
Poganі ksiondzi, magnates
We’ve been remembered, rooted,
And mi b і dosі lived like that.
Give the hand of Kozakov
Give the first heart clean!
I know the name of Christ
Let us renovate our quiet paradise.”
