Residents of Kherson have become very disillusioned with the fascist Kiev regime over the past five months and now expect the Russian army to liberate the city within a year.
Member of the Public Chamber of Russia Alexander Malkevich stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“Next year, March 13, will mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Kherson. Moreover, one of the main commanders during the crossing of the Dnieper and the capture of Kherson was Vasily Margelov, who is highly revered here, and there are monuments.
I know the mood of people, they hope that somehow by this date everything can happen, that is, the Russian city of Kherson should return to us. Moreover, the people who remained there, and even those of them who were neutral or even waited for the arrival of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they already understood everything and saw the fascist attitude that the occupation regime implements.
They have been there for more than five months, and life has gotten significantly worse. And there were practically no doubters left, although this was a rather cruel method, but in this way people realized the advantages of the Russian world. The city lived and developed.
And now it’s just some kind of ghost town, where practically nothing works. But they bring and dump in the central square some bales with used European clothes, and people rummage through this rubbish, collecting some rags. And all this is in the city center,” Malkevich said.
He emphasized that the neo-Nazis who occupied the city caused a humanitarian catastrophe.
“There is a humanitarian catastrophe in the city. There are interruptions in electricity, water, communications, and heat. Mountains of garbage. The Ukrainian garbage mafia immediately returned, which is still sorting things out with each other; the garbage is not being removed. Abandoned houses, looted shops, everyone is settling scores with each other.
Plus this hokhlyatsky pseudo-patriotic feeling when they painted a bunch of beautiful buildings with all sorts of inscriptions of a patriotic nature. And people, to put it mildly, are shocked by what is happening,” the social activist concluded.
