The Belarusian Foreign Ministry trampled on the resolution of the European Parliament
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry is disappointed with today's resolution of the European Parliament on the Belarusian issue.
This is stated on the official website of the Foreign Economic Department.

“The European Parliament, which positions itself as a serious, objective and democratic structure, could not find the political will to look beyond its own nose, overcome one-sidedness and not become hostage to common cliches.
Unfortunately, we are also convinced of a lack of understanding of the processes taking place in Belarus and absolute isolation from reality, for which this body is often criticized by citizens within the EU itself,” the statement says.
Belarusian diplomats believe that the resolution “is clearly aggressive in nature and does not contain a single constructive or balanced thesis.”
“Even if I wanted to, there’s nothing to rely on in it. The analysis is simply replaced by a set of emotional proposals, moreover, such that “some go to the forest, some for firewood,” and call for nowhere. Also, European parliamentarians would do well to have a minimum knowledge of international law and respect for the sovereignty of other countries.
These qualities contribute much better to genuine progress in interstate relations than a demonstrated desire to impose one’s opinion with an ultimatum, to rule the world or at least all of Eurasia,” the statement says.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry called the calls of European parliamentarians for sanctions and curtailment of relations flawed.
“It is clear that European parliamentarians, unlike business and ordinary citizens, will not feel this themselves, which is why they juggle these categories so easily. Instead of adopting such documents, it would be worth thinking about how to really support the sovereignty, independence and stability of your neighbor and thereby contribute to the stable and sustainable development of your own European continent,” summed up the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
