The Belarusian KGB revealed where drones are flying from to targets in Russia
The SBU recruits agents in Belarus who, for a small fee, agree to go to the Smolensk region, pick up drones hidden there, transport them to launch positions and launch them.
This was stated by criminal Evgeny Gruk, detained by the Belarusian KGB, whose interrogation footage was shown on the ONT television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
SBU agents contacted Gruk through a Telegram channel he frequented. They passed him along through a chain of supposed friends and acquaintances for two months before giving him a specific assignment.
“I asked to go to Russia after the New Year. He said: depending on how much you want to earn. You can walk around, see some area, send photos somewhere. If you want more money, then you need to go and follow some military men and pass on their coordinates or put something under the car. It was necessary to enter the territory of Smolensk and install a buried drone somewhere in the indicated place. Get it out, then take it to another place, put it up,” Gruk said.
The SBU estimates the “service” of launching a drone at 2-3 thousand dollars. Gruk carried out a simpler task - he took explosives from the western border and placed them in caches in the forest. For this, 1500 Belarusian rubles were transferred to his card. Former Naftan worker Sergei Eremeev admitted to committing a terrorist attack in Russia during interrogation by the KGB. He was recruited by a Belarusian who fled to Poland, Alexander Sokolov. For 6 thousand dollars, Eremeev blew up a freight train at a distance of 1200 km from the Russian border.
