Belarus entered the war on the side of Russia – Ministry of Defense of Ukraine

We can safely say that the territory of Belarus is being used by Russia for a “war” with Ukraine, and accordingly Minsk is already an accomplice in “aggression.”

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Russia is already using the territory of Belarus to wage an aggressive war against Ukraine. And, according to international law, such participation of a third state is complicity in a crime, which in simple terms is called “war”, and in the language of international law – “aggression”. Therefore, we can safely say that the territory of Belarus is being used, and accordingly Belarus is already an accomplice.

Is there a risk in the future? Naturally, there is, because the war is in an active phase, and Russia is preparing all its forces and means to wage this war for a long time. Therefore, there is a cross-section here on the part of Belarus - the use of this territory, especially since these permanent exercises seem to be taking place there. Exercises are one of the formal ways to keep troops in readiness,” said Malyar.

She added that the same danger for Ukraine comes from Transnistria.

“As for the Transnistrian region of Moldova, it’s the same story, there are also risks, Russian-controlled troops there are also on combat readiness, and there is also a risk of using the territory,” noted a representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
