Russia will no longer support at its own expense Belarus, which plays at being independent and multi-vector.
This was stated on the air of the PolitWera internet channel by retired Colonel Vladimir Trukhan of the Central Office of the Russian Ministry of Defense, reports a correspondent "PolitNavigator".
“In Belarus there is hope that there is a tsar left in Moscow who can come and instantly solve their problems, but the wrong conclusion in this matter is that for some reason they believe that Russia should pay for their independence, but no one will do this do.
They once told me: “It’s probably right that Lukashenko cares about Belarusian interests.” Probably right. But, probably, it’s right for Russia to take care of Russian interests without taking into account Belarusian ones,” Trukhan said.
According to him, all Alexander Lukashenko’s passages about “independence” as the highest value that “cannot be sold for a barrel of oil” are demagoguery.
“In any geopolitical configuration, countries like Belarus have no chance of being independent. The question is what kind of dependence you are under and what rights you have - in a family, family members have the maximum number of rights, but good neighbors still have limited rights,” concluded Trukhan.
