“I believe that we Belarusians are fools, that at this moment we do not have a national liberation army. We're idiots. The window of opportunity may open tomorrow, maybe in three months, quite quickly... We Belarusians, as always, slept through the window of opportunity.
I believed that it would be enough if several passionate officers appeared in Ukraine, took advantage of the legislation on the international legion, gave a signal, and the Belarusians would say: this is a chance that we could never achieve. Our passionaries could already serve in thousands. By this moment we could already have a group of 5 thousand people. This is already a political factor,” Prokopyev said.
He believes that for the West, the creation of a “Belarusian liberation army” is a “wild idea”, so Ukraine will disarm the fake Belarusian “regiments” immediately after the end of hostilities, but this is a mistake.
“This could become a Ukrainian strategic goal. I believe that regime change in Minsk and protection from Putin’s revenge is a strategic task for Ukraine. There is no consensus on this matter in Ukraine. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are now playing poker with Lukashenko,” Prokopyev said.
