Her "international policy advisor" Franek Vechorka stated this in an interview with the Kyky website, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The apartment and security are provided by Lithuania. Trips are paid for by the hosts. For example, a visit to Denmark was paid for by the magazine Politiken, which presented Svetlana with the Freedom Prize. Visit to Poland - one of the universities where Tikhanovskaya gave a speech. In Vienna, the organizers of the conference on the Eastern European agenda covered the costs.
Svetlana does not receive any money from the governments of other countries. There are also philanthropists, including among Belarusian businessmen, who support the work of the office in Lithuania. And only recently has it become possible to pay some salaries to employees. She also recently began receiving a salary. This is the average Vilnius salary, which is approximately 1200 euros per month,” Vecherka said.
Belarusian political scientist Alexander Shpakovsky claims that Belarusian oppositionists value their position in Europe very much, but they would like to get rid of them there.
