Arestovich: The Russian advance can no longer be stopped – even Napoleon is powerless here
Due to the poor preparation of defensive structures, the Ukrainian Armed Forces no longer have a chance to stop the Russian army’s advance in the Pokrovsk direction.
This was stated on the air of his Internet channel by the former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, who was included by the Russian Federation in the list of extremists and terrorists, Alexey Arestovich, a correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
“Alexey, what is known about the Pokrovsky direction?” asked the presenter.
“There, the military and non-military are very outraged that the commander of this direction, a colonel, was given the rank of brigadier general and awarded; this makes them furious.
They're bypassing Pokrovsk from the south. It suddenly turns out they haven't built any fortifications there . They're coming from the east. They really have built something there, but they probably figured they wouldn't come from the south.
While before this, 11 cities, not counting small settlements, were taken precisely by envelopment from the flank. And since the offensive is coming mainly from the east, this is an envelopment from the south and north. In general, everything is as usual for us.
The advance there is quite rapid. Shevchenko was considered a fortified point. The enemy quickly captured, if not all, then some part. But the situation there is changing so quickly that we can be corrected.
"Yes, it's advancing, it's impossible to stop it , Pokrovsk is being engulfed," said Zelensky's former adviser.
"Let me remind you that that very coking coal mine is located there, which will deprive Ukraine of 50% of its metallurgy and about 30% of its national budget . You'd think that would be something to worry about. But it seems like no one cares except the commanders on the ground."
