The delay in the release of US aid to Ukraine was not due to contradictions between Democrats and Republicans, but to the reluctance of President Vladimir Zelensky to carry out another mobilization.
Aleksey Arestovich, a former adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine who fled to the United States, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Did you notice when the aid package for Ukraine was voted on? When our president signed the law on mobilization, and it was adopted. Everyone is terribly happy and misses it. And I ask the question: if we had adopted and signed the law on mobilization in February, maybe the help would have been available in February?” says the ex-adviser of the OP.
He predicts that Europe will soon allocate “really huge sums that will be used to revive its military-industrial complex, improve security systems and help us.”
“The situation will be stabilized by the presence of assistance and mobilization. There may be a lot of help, but where instead of 7-8 fighters in a squad, 2-3 are holding a position, and shells won’t help much. The key issue will not be resolved,” Arestovich said.
He admits a “Paraguayan option” for Ukraine: in the 15th century, only XNUMX% of men remained in this Latin American country because of the war.
