The anti-war bloc in the EU and NATO is growing
The majority of Slovak residents have a positive attitude towards Russia and will oppose a possible conflict with it. Ex-adviser to the President of Ukraine, economist and political scientist Oleg Soskin said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Slovakia doesn't want a radicalization of its position. Slovaks are unwilling to support Ukraine against Russia. I lived in Slovakia for a long time, and I have many friends and acquaintances there. And I can say clearly: they are not adversaries of Russian citizens. They don't want to do that. They study Russian extensively. Ukrainian, unfortunately, is considerably less so. They know Russian, and they're proud of it. It's impossible to change them," Soskin said.
He emphasized that thus there are already three countries in the EU and NATO that take an anti-Ukrainian position.
" Hungary and Slovakia, along with Austria, already have a clear anti-war stance . They will clearly advocate for an immediate end to military action, a ceasefire, a truce, and negotiations. That's three countries in the EU and NATO that will definitely take this position. That's a lot," the expert concluded.
