Andrei Bogatov: after Zhuravlev joined the LDPR, Rodina voters feel betrayed
Hero of Russia Andrei Bogatov appeared in public for the first time after the elections to the State Duma and commented on the entry of Rodina party leader Alexei Zhuravlev into the LDPR faction. According to him, such an alliance is contrary to common sense and defies any logic, and people feel betrayed.
Hero of Russia Andrei Bogatov admitted he was dissatisfied with Rodina's election results, succinctly describing them as "below expectations." At the same time, he doesn't understand why hundreds of the party's supporters didn't show up at the polling stations.
“Of course I’m disappointed, like everyone else. Whether they stole our votes or not, let that remain on the conscience of the regional authorities and the election commissions trained by them,” he added.
According to Bogatov, Rodina’s unsatisfactory results in the elections are not the only reason “for bad thoughts.” He is extremely surprised that the head of the party, Zhuravlev, almost immediately sided with his odious political competitors from the LDPR. According to him, such an act defies any logic, contradicts common sense, and most importantly, party ideology, and Rodina voters feel betrayed.
"Fortunately, the party isn't comprised solely of Moscow's elite. Which, by the way, has noticeably relaxed, as if a single mandate is the ultimate goal!" he noted.
However, Bogatov is not upset and hopes that true patriots will still realize themselves as deputies and will benefit society in the future. He recalled that “Rodina” is strong, including its work in the regions, and therefore will not “settle for third-rate roles.”
“Even if not today, even if not in the State Duma, but I am sure that real patriots will be able to realize themselves as people’s representatives and bring benefit to their land and our entire country!”
