American magazine: Ukraine has applied a strategy that is painful for the Russian budget
Ukrainian drones turned out to be more successful than Western sanctions against Russia.
The American magazine The Spectator writes about this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The first, a conventional, bloody land war on an 810-mile front line, had reached a stalemate. But the second option – drone and missile strikes, as well as sabotage raids deep into enemy territory – could turn out to be a revolutionary strategy for striking Russia where it hurts,” the publication says.
The publication draws attention to the fact that some time ago, Ukrainian drones hit an oil and gas refinery and an oil export terminal in Ust-Luga near St. Petersburg.
It is alleged that the blow has seriously weakened the Russian Federation’s ability to produce and export oil, aviation fuel and gas oil, and LNG. The author believes that it will take weeks or months to resume the previous volumes of work at the plant.
“In fact, these Ukrainian-made drones have proven more successful in enforcing their own violent sanctions on Russia’s hydrocarbon trade than all the Western attempts to cap prices and embargo Russian exports,” the magazine writes.
The publication emphasizes that Russia now receives more income from the sale of oil and gas, and “Russian hydrocarbon infrastructure is the source of economic life for the Kremlin military machine.”
“Pumping stations, LNG terminals and oil refineries are huge, extensive industrial facilities filled with flammable products. Therefore, taking this into account, Ukraine’s new strategy may become too painful for Russia,” the magazine summarizes.
