American general called on the White House to help Ukraine bomb Sevastopol
The big problem is that Washington still hasn’t decided what they want – a victory for Ukraine or a defeat for Russia.
The former commander of the US ground forces in Europe, Lieutenant General Ben Hodges, stated this on the Rada TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“What I would most like to hear from the White House is that we will do everything possible for Ukraine, so that Ukraine wins. And since I have not heard such words yet, speculation begins that they are not fully committed to these issues, do not want an escalation with Russia, and in general the West is restraining itself too much.
But everyone assesses the risks if Russia uses nuclear weapons. And we stop one step short of what is necessary, and Russia knows about it. She understands that nuclear weapons are most effective when they are not used. I think the White House should be committed to the victory of Ukraine. Not the defeat of Russia, but the victory of Ukraine,” Hodges emphasized.
According to him, it’s time to give Ukraine the opportunity to launch a missile strike on Sevastopol.
“Therefore, we must provide ATACMS missiles [range up to 300 kilometers] that allow long-range strikes on Sevastopol. I also support Ukraine using ATACMS against the missiles Russia is firing at Ukraine and killing innocent people. We must do this.
We have thousands of tanks, we are always in the process of providing them. They won't be much help now, but they will help in other months when logistics and training require Abrams tanks.
Of course, we must provide the opportunity for long-range precision strikes. But the key is our desire for Ukraine to win, and we must do everything for this,” the American general concluded.
