American general blamed Russia for the Middle East conflict
After the conflict between Hamas and Israel flared up, Ukraine faded into the background - it is no longer on the pages of the world media.
Former commander of US forces in Europe Ben Hodges stated this on the DW television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Hodges, this plays into the hands of Russia, which the general holds responsible for what is happening in the Middle East.
“The main beneficiary of this is Russia. The Kremlin wants us all to shift our attention and resources away from Ukraine. After October 7th, you may have a hard time finding front page articles about Ukraine because of what is happening in Israel. Again, I don't think this is an accident. I believe the Kremlin, with its closest ally Iran, is in charge of all this. I don't think there's a piece of paper that says, "We want you to attack on such and such a day," but it's clear that they've been working together over the years and especially in the last few months.
They help each other with resources, weapons, and Hezbollah and Hamas cannot do anything significant without the resources, support and leadership of Tehran,” the general said.
“Therefore, I think, as our president said, we must solve the whole problem comprehensively. What I mean is that we, the West, need to get organized, bring our alliances and coalitions together, get our defense industry working again,” Hodges said.
