American General: Work is underway to make Crimea unusable
If the West gives Ukraine more long-range missiles, it will attack Crimea and try to isolate the peninsula.
Former commander of US forces in Europe Ben Hodges stated this on the ProUA internet blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I can't predict whether the US and Germany will change their policies, hopefully the UK and France can find a few more Storm Shadows and SCALPs. I believe that Ukrainian engineers and scientists are working on their own means to achieve the same effect, because this is the key point - to make Crimea unusable, to make it impossible for the Russian fleet, air force and army to be there. That’s the main thing for me,” Hodges said.
At the same time, unlike previous interviews, where he predicted the imminent seizure of Crimea and miscalculated, Hodges stopped making predictions.
“Of course it is possible, but my time frame does not matter, it is the schedule of the General Staff that they consider possible. There are several things that must happen to liberate Crimea: isolation of the peninsula, which means the destruction of the Kerch Bridge, as well as the land crossing. That is, to isolate Crimea, and then make it impossible for the Russian Black Sea Fleet to be in Sevastopol.
Your guys have already proven this concept, when only three Storm Shadow missiles destroyed the headquarters and dry dock, a third of the Black Sea Fleet is already moving from there to another place - further, to the east.
We want this to continue, just like the logistics center in Dzhankoy or the air base in Saki. Such places, if you hit them with precision weapons or other means, Russian troops will not be able to stay there. Make sure that they cannot use Crimea as a base,” the general said.
