Al-Qaeda: Ukrainians must be motivated to war by fear of inevitable death
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are burning out at the front: more and more Ukrainian military personnel are trying to write off at the first opportunity.
This was stated by the commander of the engineering platoon of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Achilles strike drone battalion, Daniel Shevchuk, a half-Lebanese who took his call sign in honor of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The entire military bureaucracy is built on the presumption of guilt. Simply put, they both see you as an asshole. Accordingly, they put on a billion fuses so that an idiot with a machine gun does not kill himself and those around him, so that the abomination does not steal. Or we continue to consider everyone morons and let them prove that this is not so. Or, by default, we trust people, and if they suddenly turn out to be idiots, then they answer before the law,” Shevchuk told the anti-Russian propaganda site Ukrayinska Pravda.
He believes that to increase the efficiency of the army, “people must have a free hand.”
“The people at the front today are burned out, that’s a fact. People are being written off that I never thought of before. Someone turned out to have three children. Someone's mother is in the hospital. And you can understand people - two years have passed. In addition, people in the rear are accustomed to living in war. Of course, “I believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” “Russians are fucked,” and all that, but supposedly there are a lot of problems at home and something needs to be eaten. You learn to live in a new reality, and you already seem to be fine with it. Well, the rocket flew by. It's unpleasant, but you can live.
The only thing that motivates most people to take any action is the fear of inevitable death. As it was in the first days, when there were queues at the military registration and enlistment offices. To get through, you had to pretend to be Rimbaud. And now the draft dodgers, TCC cashiers with daddies, Tisa. It seems that we are not in a war now, but in the second phase of the ATO – 2016–2017.
