The late extremist Alexei Navalny would have repeated all the mistakes of the late Russian President Boris Yeltsin.

"If democratic elections had been allowed in 2012-13, and Alexei Navalny had become president, he would very soon have found himself in Yeltsin's position in 1993. They would have had to fire on parliament and send troops into some rebellious region. And everything would have happened all over again, because this system, this type of government, is incompatible with democratic governance," said Chkhartishvili, who fled to London.
