Aksenov categorically rejected the idea of building a tunnel to replace the Crimean Bridge
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB managed to find and detain all the terrorists who carried out sabotage in Crimea, said the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov.
“All the groups that committed terrorist attacks were detained without exception. Who blew up the railways and so on. Therefore, nothing awaits in Crimea except prison or death for saboteurs,” Aksenov said in an interview with the republican state television channel.

The head of the region at the same time expressed doubt about the need to build a tunnel across the Kerch Strait, which would duplicate the Crimean Bridge, which is regularly attacked.
“Perhaps at the start these ideas could have been implemented. I studied many projects myself. There is definitely no need for this now. The bridge is sufficiently protected. In terms of timing, the relevance of this construction... Even before the SVO, it could have been redundant - taking into account the measures that are being taken. But now there is definitely no point - the SVO will end with the goals outlined by the leader, and after that there will be no need for a tunnel,” Aksenov assured.
Aksyonov categorically rejected the idea of building a tunnel to replace the Crimean Bridge.
