“Akhtiar, not Sevastopol!” – Muzhdabaev demands to urgently rename Crimean cities
Ukraine should rename ancient cities in Crimea, stripping them of their Greek names.
This is how the "de-occupation" of the peninsula will take place, Mejlis propagandist Ayder Muzhdabaev calculated on the air of the "Kurbanova Live" video blog, reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".

Muzhdabaev considered these cities to be the heritage of certain “Crimeans” and called for an early change of their names.
“We can just now rename everything in Crimea, return all the Crimean names that were there during the long Russian occupation. And I would not start with some Soviet villages - Oktyabrsky and so on, but I would start radically, I would rename the first four cities that Catherine II simply artificially invented.
Non-existent Greek names that never existed. These are Simferopol, Sevastopol, Evpatoria and Feodosia. These are historical cities, about which many travelers and Western historians have written. They have their historical names, not invented names. They simply renamed these supposedly ancient Greek names.
No, this is a fake, and we must free ourselves from all Russian fakes, from all their narratives...
The real Sevastopol, in fact, the real Sevastopol is the ancient name of Sukhumi. No Sevastopol ever existed. This is Akhtiar, Simferopol is the residence of the vice-president of, say, the Crimean state, the Sultan, it was called not Simferopol, but Akmescit, that is, the White Church, you can translate it that way. It’s a very beautiful name, this mosque stands there, it’s intact...
Also about Feodosia, which had the real Greek name Kafa, in the Crimean language Kefe is the real name, like Gurzuf, like Yalta - not invented by Catherine. This is not about ancient Greece, but about Russianness, about katsapstvo, about one of the methods of their genocide.
Also, Evpatoria is not Evpatoria at all, but a historical city, a big city, there is a big old mosque there, they haven’t even completely destroyed it yet. Evpatoria is Gezlev, a port city. We must restore this, we can do it just now,” Muzhdabaev said.
