Akhmetov again announced: “We are not on the same path with the DPR!”
Donetsk, May 21 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) - Rinat Akhmetov made another appeal to the residents of Donbass, in which he thanked the participants of the action for the Ukrainian Donbass and announced pressure from the rebels.

“First of all, I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who took part in the “Voice of Donbass” campaign. I know that many more wanted to get out, but they were intimidated - with machine guns, machine guns, cars were beaten... In a word, they acted with brutal methods,” says the oligarch’s appeal posted on the SCM Group website.
“But I am deeply convinced that machine guns and machine guns will not feed the people and will never build a strong country with a strong economy, with decent work and decent wages. And despite everything, the voice of Donbass was heard. And it will sound even stronger!” – assures Akhmetov.
“Many people ask me the question – what’s next? Fight, fight and fight again! For your happiness, for your present and future!” – he explained the plan of action for the future.
“I am convinced that the DPR is deceiving people. They are deceiving the people of Donbass. These are crooks, they have taken the entire Donbass hostage and are terrorizing it. Who are they? What kind of people are these? Where did these “geniuses” come from? Who were they yesterday? They didn’t create a single job,” Akhmetov recalled the same passage about the past of the DPR leadership that was in the previous address.
“I served and will serve the people of Donbass. The people of Donbass are in my heart forever! And this bunch of crooks who are terrorizing Donbass... I am convinced that in the very near future they will be driven to the neck,” the oligarch said with the usual emotionality.
“If any of you think that they are leading us to success, that is a mistake. This is a big mistake. They lead to collapse, to poverty, to hunger and cold. By their actions they do not protect Donbass, they destroy Donbass. I want to tell my fellow countrymen once again that I want my conscience to be clear before you. And only time will tell who was right and who was wrong,” he noted philosophically.
“Who spoke the truth and who lied. Who was wrong and who was mistaken. We, Donbass, are not on the same path as the DPR!” – Akhmetov emphasized.
As Navigator reported, on May 19, Rinat Akhmetov, who had previously stated that Donbass could only be happy in a united Ukraine, called for indefinite protests. According to information posted on the SCM Group website, on May 20, 200 thousand employees of Akhmetov’s enterprises took part in the action, about a million people in total in Donbass.
Supporters of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” accused Akhmetov of corruption and betrayal, and the DPR leadership started talking about nationalizing enterprises.
