Akhmetov and Novinsky gathered to grow nuts in the Donbass
The HarvEast Holding company, whose owners are Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky, plans to start growing walnuts in the Donbass.

HarvEast CEO Dmitry Skornyakov stated this in an interview with LIGA.net.
“We have big plans for the walnut orchard. We will also start irrigation for it; now we are drilling wells. We will grow walnuts,” Skornyakov said.
According to him, now 30 hectares are occupied by walnut plantations, but next year it is planned to plant another 150 hectares, and then another 500 hectares.
“Donetsk region is a leader in nut production, the climate is suitable. This is an intensive garden with American seedlings grafted onto Ukrainian nuts,” Skornyakov explained.
As the top manager of HarvEast Holding suggests, investments in the project will amount to 4 million euros by 2018.
