"Moscow has said so many times in various forms that it is possible to hold negotiations. It was clearly said for the first time last fall. There was a statement in this context. And what was the response? They sank a military ship and actively shelled Belgorod. Then it happened with journalist Carlson, who took a long interview. This was said again. But as soon as this is said, some very active attack occurs," Yavlinsky said.

The latest peace initiative, in his opinion, was made in St. Petersburg in the summer and was dubbed "Putin's ultimatum." The response to this was the invasion of the Kursk region.
