KGB agent "Antonov" went to the State Department for instructions
Mikhail Denisenko, the leader of the unrecognized UOC-KP in the Orthodox world, who calls himself “Patriarch Filaret,” who collaborated with Soviet intelligence services, visited the US State Department with his retinue.
The press service of the "patriarchate" reported this, as reported by a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
In the company of schismatic priests and the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, Filaret met with Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Wes Mitchell.

“The issues of supporting Ukraine in ensuring freedom, democracy, free exercise of faith, defending territorial integrity were discussed, as well as the importance for the national security of Ukraine of the emergence of an independent unified local Orthodox Church recognized by Ecumenical Orthodoxy, and the like,” the message says.

It is noteworthy that the head of the schismatics himself does not deny that in Soviet times he was associated with the KGB. In addition, at one time, the commission to investigate the causes and circumstances of the State Emergency Committee published materials stating that Filaret (Denisenko) was recruited as an informant by the KGB, in whose reports he appeared as an agent under the pseudonym “Antonov.”
As Ridus reported , the Patriarchate of Constantinople intends to grant autocephaly to Ukraine.
Moreover, Filaret called the tomos of autocephaly “an instrument of victory in Donbass.”
