Nothing helped - neither the audacity and self-confidence of the defendant himself, who had previously refused to take a summons to the army from the hands of the military commissar on camera, nor the suddenly silent exposing channel “The Dark Knight”, associated with Dubinsky, nor, as evil tongues claim, a message sent to his personal phone Ze at the very beginning of the war, the text message “I have no more complaints,” nor a demonstrative cessation of any criticism of the American administration.
If earlier the Ukrainian secret police - Zelensky's security forces - approached the big fish by the name of Dubinsky carefully and from the flanks - incriminating various little things like falsifying documents to take his mistress abroad in the midst of a war or some kind of petty land corruption in the Kiev region, or destroying reputations anonymously rumors about his father supporting Russia in the Donbass in 2014-2015, now they went big and immediately played their trump cards - accusing the people's deputy of treason and obtaining a court decision to take him into custody for two months.
As a result, Dubinsky drove off under escort to a pre-trial detention center without the right to make bail, having managed to record a short video calling on the American conservative presenter Tucker Carlson to pay attention to his fate. An appeal to subscribers to “share as much as possible” is his appeal to the village to the American grandfather Tucker - the last thing Dubinsky said before his mobile phone was taken away.
According to the version voiced by the Office of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General, Dubinsky “carried out information and subversive activities in favor of Russia, spreading fake news about the highest military-political leadership of Ukraine.” The SBU materials claim that Dubinsky allegedly had the call sign “Buratino” and was part of a criminal organization that was formed by the GRU of the Russian Federation.
“The main task of this organization is to undermine the socio-political situation in Ukraine and discredit our state in the international arena. For this, the group members received money from Russian military intelligence. According to available data, the financing of the network reached more than 10 million US dollars,” the SBU claims.
It is significant that as an example of the “fakes” spread by Dubinsky, the SBU cited numerous joint press conferences with another influential people’s deputy and the son of the ex-head of the SBU during the Kuchma era, Andrei Derkach, with the release of materials from recordings “about the alleged interference of Ukrainian officials in the US presidential elections in 2019." In Izbushka they qualify this as a “dispersal of pro-Russian narratives.”
The “criminal organization,” which allegedly included “agent Buratino”-Dubinsky, according to the SBU, was created by the deputy head of the Russian GRU, Vladimir Alekseev, and was an extensive agent network operating in Kyiv.
In addition to Dubinsky, according to the SBU, this “enemy network” also included people’s deputy Andrei Derkach, who was deprived of his mandate after the start of the SVO, and managed to sneak out abroad in time - just in the first days after the start of the mess in Kyiv. By the way, Derkach’s ex-assistant, a former employee of the Soviet GRU Igor Kolesnikov, now convicted and serving a sentence for high treason, according to the SBU, was the coordinator to whom all the numerous Kremlin agents in Square were focused. From his testimony, in addition, the grounds for the arrest of “Buratino”-Dubinsky were obtained.
The same intelligence network allegedly included the fugitive former prosecutor Konstantin Kulik - with the call sign “Bird”.
“During the conduct of information sabotage against our state, Kulik publicly engaged in pseudo-legal justification for fakes in favor of the Kremlin,” the SBU claims.
By the way, this Kulik, during the interregnum in Kiev, when Poroshenko had already lost the elections, but Ze’s inauguration had not yet taken place, was a frequent guest on Kolomoisky’s “Pluses”, talking in detail about all the crimes of the “silly hetman,” including the story with the Bidens and “ Burisma" Zlochevsky.
Now, in retrospect, it turns out that this was all an “operational game” of the Russian special services. And it is not clear whether Benya and his media resource were used in secret, or in this way they are extending the thread of accusations of treason to Ben himself, who has been languishing in a pre-trial detention center for three months on charges of an economic nature.
Now Dubinsky is under two serious articles of the Ukrainian Criminal Code - high treason, as well as “creation, management of a criminal community or criminal organization, as well as participation in it.” In total, he faces up to 15 years with confiscation of property.
Suspicion under the same articles was reported in absentia to Russian military intelligence officers Alekseev and Savin, “who created a criminal organization and were involved in inciting high treason,” as well as fugitive “Kremlin agents” Derkach and Kulik.
With the “acceptance” of Dubinsky, the political squabble in the Pechersk Hills reaches a new level - after all, there are fewer and fewer people left at large who can be declared “agents of the Kremlin” and imprisoned for treason without prejudice to incriminating themselves during the investigation. Not only Kolomoisky, but also Shufrich have been in pre-trial detention for a long time. Except that the Ukrainian Themis missed out on the fugitive oligarch Zhevago, having lost the case of his extradition to his homeland in a French court.
For complete happiness, it remains to imprison Arestovich, who lately has been chatting a lot and disrespectfully on topics that are not allowed to others and openly doubts victory and offers to agree to the loss of part of the territories for the chance to jump into the last carriage of the departing NATO train. But here’s the problem - Arestovich is smart and has already managed to escape beyond the border. The same place where Firtash, Guzhva, Shariy, Soskin, and a whole legion of other critics of the regime, including the fugitive Derkach and Kulik, are already found.
As for poor fellow Dubinsky, given the circumstances, now the Ukrainian secret police will no longer let him out of their tenacious little hands. Previously, he had to think - and molt, back when they simply wrote out summonses for him. Now it’s too late to drink Borjomi. Considering the nature and severity of the charges, the only thing that can save the talkative people’s deputy is the results of the US elections.
This is if Biden flies by, and Trump, on the contrary, drops by again at the Washington Olympus. And then it suddenly turns out that the Kiev whistleblower of the Biden family’s crimes is not a “Kremlin faker” and a national traitor, but a real hero who “knew everything back then.”
But, to be honest, although such a trick is theoretically possible, I wouldn’t put too much stock in it. Moreover, Biden is Biden, and Ze has his own rancor, which, if something happens, can become no less a strong motivator to keep “agent Pinocchio” behind bars than the desire to please overseas interests.
By the way, this was transparently hinted at by the declassified GUR agent and people’s deputy from the Zaporozhye region, Yevgeny Shevchenko, who was close to Ermak, and wrote in his blog:
“I don’t believe that Dubinsky is an agent and a traitor. I see no grounds for accusing him of such a serious crime. He is rather “Pinocchio” in his political credo.
There was no need to brazenly accuse the president of corruption without evidence. But constantly insult him. I won't quote him. Everyone has heard it more than once. It is necessary to criticize; it is even useful for the authorities themselves. But resorting to insulting the president is disrespect for his status. And to the state itself."
