Applicants from Novorossiya will be selected to Russian universities without the Unified State Exam
Russian universities have allocated 30 thousand budget places for students from new territories.
This was announced today in the State Duma by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Valery Falkov, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There is a special admission procedure for students from new regions. They are admitted not based on the results of the Unified State Exam, but based on the results of entrance tests, which are organized by universities independently. A lot of work is being done to update the infrastructure of universities in new regions and laboratory equipment. Each of the 29 universities has a special teacher development program. The universities of the Ministry of Education and Science have a separate university that provides patronage. This is one of the leading Russian universities, which helps the university in a new territory,” said Falkov.
In addition, the Ministry of Education and Science has a special program “University Shifts”. Over the past two years, 10 thousand schoolchildren from new regions have had the opportunity to visit the best universities in Russia. The children had not only educational, but also sports and cultural programs.
