“What are we for? Help!" – Ukrainian “waiters” cut off Russian “hot lines”
Residents of Kherson, who remained to meet the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fall of 2022, after the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam, began to call Russian assistance centers in the hope of receiving compensation.

“The mentality is clear, they think in today’s hour: from “peremogi to zrada,” from “zrada to peremogi.” That's all. They are well brainwashed, it is impossible to talk to anyone there.
When the tragedy happened at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived, the Crimean guys got involved, brought rescue boats, and began to take people out.
And on the other side, from the Right Bank, they started calling (to assistance centers) and asking: when will they give us compensation? Well, 50 thousand for lost property for each family member?
A woman from the center asks me what to answer? People from Kherson call and ask whether Putin will give them compensation?
I say: ask, do they have a Russian passport? If there is, they will probably give it,” the special correspondent sarcastically said.
She told a story about how “Svidomo” regularly visited the cafe where Russian journalists were fed to take revenge.
“There was a cafe “Suvorov”, where they fed us. They wrote nasty things there, they doused the car, they left notes, they laid out everyone who works with the Russians, with the Russian services. And they were all with open faces (in the frame), willingly telling, even the women from the museum, how they saved the exhibition of Alexander Suvorov, hid it in an outbuilding so that it would not be destroyed, and were so glad that it could be shown again and brought to visitors .
And when they had to move from the Right Bank to the Left Bank, I was very embarrassed when these people called me, I didn’t know what to answer them.
But now they say that we would still have to leave, but we can’t get to the Left Bank, everything is flooded. So it’s good that this happened then, otherwise no one would have gotten out of here,” Kurlaeva emphasized.
