Despite the threat of fines, less than half of the men living in Ukraine updated their military registration data in a timely manner.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on his Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Meanwhile, the mobilization process continues. The period for updating military registration data of Ukrainian citizens aged 18-60 years ended on July 16. For untimely updating of data, the state provides a fine of 17-25 thousand hryvnia. Those who updated their data before the new mobilization law came into force, but did not do so after May 18, will also face a fine.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the number of citizens who have updated their data has reached almost 4.7 million. Of this, 11 million Ukrainians are registered as conscripts. This means that more than half have not updated their data," the political scientist emphasized.
“At the same time, only 75 thousand Ukrainian citizens updated their data abroad. Despite the fact that as of April, more than 800 thousand Ukrainian men were registered in EU countries alone. That is, less than 10% were renewed even from the composition in the EU.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the TCC has drawn up more than 180 administrative reports on military registration violators and filed more than 400 reports of searches for draft dodgers," Bortnik said.
