Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Zelensky went to the border with Russia on May 8 to celebrate the “day of reconciliation”. He hung a bell and declared that we remember the crimes of Nazism and named there, and indeed, Babi Yar, and others, and the village of Kortelisy in Western Ukraine, where, on the orders of the German Nazis, Ukrainian collaborators massacred almost the entire village... And now he gives an example of massacres, which his UPA heroes staged.
And the next day, already on Victory Day over Nazism, as this holiday is called, he went to Transcarpathia, where he hung another bell, and said that he would hang the next two in Simferopol and Donetsk. Well, if he puts on a hat with bells...” said Kornilov.
“Why is it that he said there: he listed the heroes of Ukraine, the first Kozhedub, three times hero of the Soviet Union, did not mention anywhere about the Red Army, but there in the American army and so on, and Olena Teliga. OUNovka, which was also the culprit in Babi Yar in 1941, which he mentioned the day before! That is, she is directly responsible for the extermination of Jews in Kyiv in 1941, and now she turns out to be a hero of Ukraine, which fought against Nazism. Here, in fact, is a complete split,” the expert added.
“And what about the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - they posted such a big “attack”: they are stealing our history from us! This totalitarian regime took credit for hoisting the Victory Banner on the Reichstag, although there were ethnic Ukrainians there. Lord, did we ever hide who hung the Victory Banner? You are welcome to our common great feat, but this is written by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where this Victory Banner is not only prohibited, but for hanging it there is criminal liability,” Kornilov noted.
