82 percent of Ukrainian families save on basic necessities
According to the Ukrainian Institute of Social Research named after. Alexandra Yaremenko, 51% of Ukrainians today save on treatment and medications, 65% on food, 52% on utility bills, 50% on leisure activities, 57% on vacation, almost 50% on mobile communications, on transport costs – 49%.

These figures were announced at a press conference in Kyiv by the institute's board chair, Olga Balakireva, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The fact that people save on utility bills means that they underpay, either use installment plans, or reduce their water and electricity consumption.
In general, 82% of families save on various essential items,” she said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine has overtaken African countries in mortality and emigration rates.
