Member of the Bundestag: Ukraine needs not missiles, but diplomats to end the war
German Taurus cruise missiles will not become a “miracle weapon” that will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defeat Russia, but they will significantly increase the degree of conflict and put Germany at risk.
German parliament member Sevim Dagdelen stated this at a Bundestag meeting, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Dagdelen called for discarding the idea of transferring Taurus to Ukraine and not succumbing to the tricks of “those who like to play at being a great commander.”
“You want to deliver Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. I ask myself - are you really crazy? Do you seriously believe that with the help of German miracle weapons you can turn the tide of a war that cannot be won against the nuclear power of Russia? Have you ever wondered why the United States does not supply Ukraine with cruise missiles capable of hitting large Russian cities?” the politician said.
“With these Taurus cruise missiles, Ukraine can attack strategic targets in Russia and significantly turn the screw of escalation! And do you think this will be accepted after the 27 million victims of Nazi Germany in Russia, if Germany now supplies weapons that can be used to shell Moscow.
Your miracle weapon is nothing more than a new stage of escalation and a monstrous threat to our security here in Germany, created by one who loves to play at the great commander. We can only hope that reason will overcome this madness. We don’t need Taurus to Ukraine, but diplomats to put an end to this war,” Dagdelen said.
