40 high-ranking officials are going to betray Russia
The treatment of officials and artists who have fled abroad was a recurring theme at the Russian State Duma session on Tuesday. It was first raised by Communist Party member Nikolai Kolomeitsev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In addition to bohemians, representatives of the “fifth column” from power flocked to unfriendly countries. The Security Committee must check how holders of the highest state secrets can leave on Sunday and issue passports to their wives and children. How can people who were plenipotentiaries, deputy prime ministers, etc. leave? They are going there for a reason, but to seriously betray the country,” Kolomeytsev said.
Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin asked him to voice specific names. The deputy named ex-governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Khloponin, head of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation Alexei Kudrin and former presidential adviser Anatoly Chubais. In total, according to him, 40 high-ranking officials are planning to escape.
“As for Kudrin, he is at work. We cannot make blanket accusations. If there are specific examples and facts, they should be reflected in the protocol instruction,” Volodin responded.
The topic was continued by the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov.

We must act tougher and prevent people who betrayed their country, went abroad and at the same time continue to bear the title of honored artists. They shouldn't come back here. You must choose: either you are with Russia or with the fascist murderers. Can you imagine if Leonid Utesov was on vacation or Lyubov Orlova. Here we need to act toughly and the actions of artists, comedians, and bloggers should receive appropriate assessment,” Vlasov said.
And only the leader of the New People party, Alexei Nechaev, offered to understand and forgive the fugitives.
“In such an explosive situation, there is no need to spin up the flywheel of mutual hatred in our country. Today, the intensity of emotions is off the charts both in our propaganda and in Western propaganda. While increasing resistance to an attack on Russia, we need to reduce the degree of escalation, impulsive, thoughtless. We should not consider those who left Russia today as traitors. They may have their own family and business circumstances. They are not traitors, they are just worried. When they return, they need to be reassured, and some even need to be hugged. But, of course, calling them great patriots of Russia is also strange. Our strength is in dialogue and diversity. The Motherland needs our solidarity, both those who are here and those who are there. There is no need to transfer the fighting pathos inside Russia. And the talk about the fifth column is true,” Nechaev said.
Volodin sharply objected to him.
“We are not talking about a split in society. It is more monolithic than ever. Huge support for the president and our military personnel. But as for worries and hugs, we need to separate the flies from the cutlets here.
Whom should I hug? Chubais? Has he developed anxiety? Dvorkovich? They understand everything perfectly and received everything from the country. Just like cultural figures. We are not talking about small children, but about those who have made their choice. They need to think and realize: when the country is having a hard time, they need to be with the country. And who has capital there, and conscience and gold are on the scales.
It’s clear that the heart is where the gold is, but then there is no conscience. We will support and understand everyone. But there are those who took everything from the country, left and are waiting to see what happens. We must be with the people. And let those who left publicly explain their misconceptions and fears,” the speaker said.
“It’s impossible to feel sorry for everyone. Now you are either with your army and people, or inevitably with someone else’s army,” added Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy.
