4 thousand participants of "ATO" are officially recognized as "invalids of war"

This was announced by First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko during parliamentary hearings on state guarantees of social protection for participants of the so-called. “ATO”, “revolution of dignity” and members of their families.

“108 people died on the Maidan, 60 injured participants in the Revolution of Dignity and about 4 thousand ATO participants received the status of war invalids. About 1 thousand Maidan participants received bodily injuries of varying degrees of severity,” said the people’s deputy.

The deputy added that more than 266 thousand people who fought in Donbass received the status of combatants.

Let us recall that earlier the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine clarified that Ukrainian military personnel who died, for example, due to domestic reasons or from alcoholism in the Donbass, will not receive the status of participants in hostilities and the benefits provided for it.
