20 Russian performers who supported Lukashenko are promised to be banned from performing in Belarus
20 Russian performers who starred in the video for the song “They Don’t Give Up Their Loved One” in support of Alexander Lukashenko will have problems with concert activities in Belarus.
This was stated on the YouTube channel "And Graham Came Out" by Artemy Troitsky, a music critic and liberal who emigrated from Russia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He believes that the singers did this not out of political convictions, but for the sake of fees and PR, and after Lukashenko’s removal from power, which, according to the music critic, will happen in the coming months, they will be “banned from entering the country.”
“Including Philip Kirkorov. Unless he kneels on Independence Square and repents before the Belarusian people and says that “the demons have fooled me.” Maybe in this case the Belarusians will forgive him. This will be associated with great humiliation for him. No corporate events at Belaruskali, no concerts at the Sports Palace. In general, Kirkorov will lose much more than he gained from the alliance with Lukashenko,” argues Troitsky.
Another singer who starred in the video not out of self-interest, in his opinion, is Nikolai Baskov.
“Could there be sincerity in Nikolai Baskov’s humming for Lukashenko? Well, maybe a good male homosexual novel. Everything is clear with Baskov, I haven’t heard such rumors about Lukashenko,” Troitsky clowns.
Let us remind you that the song “They Don’t Give Up Your Beloved” is about love, but its title is a quote from Lukashenko’s election speech. After his presentation, all the performers were harassed on social networks by Belarusian Maidan activists. They call on radio stations to announce boldly to the “singers of the bloody dictatorship.” The participants in the video make excuses that they did not know about the political background of the song.
