The Women's March in Minsk was led by a crazy Russophobe
The Belarusian opposition held a "women's grand march" in Minsk today, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Its participants carried nationalist white and red flags and posters, many of which were humorous: “Prostitutes are with the people,” “You can’t cook borscht with rotten onions,” “Such is fitness,” “Sasha, sexism has ruined you.”

The march planned to go through the center of Minsk to Independence Square, but riot police blocked the women’s way. The route had to be changed, but from time to time the demonstrators encountered police lines. Women shouted insulting slogans at them: “Nobody will give it to you,” “You are not men,” “Your mother is with us.”
Sometimes the chains were broken. From the outside, it resembled the game “Boyars, we have come to you.”
The “Grand March” was led by the Minsk city madwoman, 73-year-old Nina Baginskaya. She has actively participated in nationalist rallies for years and is known for her Russophobic sentiments and opposed integration with Russia. The other day she attacked riot policemen who took the nationalist flag from her.
“Muscovites and I are different people. We have different mentality and blood. Even our psyche is different. Because we are farmers. And Muscovites are warriors. They are used to riding in their wagons, attacking and robbing,” Baginskaya said.
Although the opposition strongly emphasizes its neutral attitude towards Russia and Europe, at the march Baginskaya was greeted as a heroine, chanting “Nina!”
Is it any wonder that among the posters there was one like this: “Will you also bring women from Russia?” This was a hint about the presence of Russian special forces in Belarus. Rumors about this are actively presented as facts among oppositionists.
