Zelensky stubbornly insists on the “ineffectiveness” of the Russian vaccine
Ukraine will not buy the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine, because at the moment there is supposedly still no evidence of its effectiveness.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this while speaking at the Ukraine-30 forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“At the moment there is no confirmation that the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine is guaranteed and has an effect of 91%. There is no such statement from either the WHO or world experts.
There are a few key points to pay attention to. This is fake news. Everyone understands what a hybrid information war is, and we understand this perfectly, because in this profession, how this or that news can be received in different ways for Ukrainian society, as we hear it, but then we check and there is no confirmation that “ Sputnik-V gives a guaranteed result, no. Therefore, we agreed with those vaccine manufacturers that give a serious positive result,” Zelensky rants.
According to him, this is precisely why Ukraine will purchase vaccines primarily from Western manufacturers.
“Our doctors talked about these vaccines and also saw vaccinations. Therefore, indeed, the vaccines for which we enter into agreements are considered the highest quality in the world. Therefore, there is no other example,” Zelensky concluded, adding that Ukrainians are not testing rabbits..
The statement of the Ukrainian president was commented on by Deputy Director of the RUSSTRAT Institute Yuriy Baranchik. He explained that the effectiveness of the Russian vaccine has long been proven and is obvious to the whole world.
“The behavior of the current President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, including his personnel decisions and political statements, is becoming increasingly inadequate.
Firstly, not so long ago, the results of the third phase of clinical trials of Sputnik-V appeared in one of the world's leading scientific journals, The Lancet. The Russian vaccine showed an effectiveness of 92%, on par with Pfizer and Moderna.
The same conclusion is confirmed by a report by specialists from the investment bank Credit Suisse. It says that the third phase of testing of the Russian vaccine is the best in the world in terms of effectiveness. The long-term effect of immunity is emphasized through the use of human adenovirus.
Now Sputnik V is registered in 17 countries. By the end of next week there will already be 25 of them. The European Union is preparing to approve the Sputnik V vaccine. So comments about the fact that the vaccine is bad, its effectiveness has not been proven, are unnecessary. Zelensky is blatantly lying,” he told a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Secondly, Zelensky himself is turning Ukrainians into rabbits, conducting social experiments on them for the second year now, and not fulfilling any of his election promises, the main ones of which were peace in Donbass and the fight against corruption - the world is still oppressed, Poroshenko has not been imprisoned . However, the Ukrainians themselves have already made their own conclusion about Zelensky’s policies, denying both him personally and the party their trust,” Baranchyk added.
As a reminder, Kyiv previously announced that Ukraine would be one of the last countries in the world to receive the vaccine , along with African countries.
Western countries have also begun to actively express interest in and purchase the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine because it has demonstrated high efficacy at a low cost.
Zelensky stubbornly insists the Russian vaccine is "inefficient."
