Zelensky put a secret base with foreigners in Odessa at risk - British analyst
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky revealed the location of a secret base in Odessa, where specialists who controlled maritime drones transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces were trained and located.
British analyst Alexander Merkouris stated this on the video blog of American journalist Alex Khristoforov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One of the reasons he went to Odessa was because he wanted to present awards to the commandos who are flying these waterborne drones that just showed up, sinking a Russian warship in Crimea.
And, of course, he went to the secret base where these people are trained and from where they operate. And the Russians tracked his movements. So they found out where this base was, and then he left and they attacked this base,” the expert said.
“The Russian Ministry of Defense actually confirmed the fact of this strike in its telegram channel. They confirmed it, and there are all kinds of reports that a lot of important people died. The story, which I obviously don’t know, can’t confirm, is that the airspace over Romania was closed, people were evacuated and taken to the West and all that jazz.
If Zelensky's role is confirmed, it will cause great anger in Western capitals that he acted in this way and compromised the secrecy of this project,” Mercouris said.
